Woodlands Hospital in Darlington is offering advanced minimally invasive spinal procedures to help relieve sciatica pain. Techniques such as percutaneous or “laser” discectomy allow surgeons to treat slipped discs with less disruption to surrounding tissue, supporting faster recovery and in many cases same day discharge.
Mr Fagan is one of only a very few surgeons in the UK using this procedure, and the only one in the North East. This approach is helping patients return to normal activities more quickly compared to traditional open surgery.
